Start with demand, not equipment

A credible power solution begins with interval demand, critical loads, starting currents, operating hours, existing supply, fuel exposure and the cost of downtime. Technology selection comes after that operating picture is understood.

Build the supply stack

Firm generation, solar, storage and grid supply can be coordinated as one system. The objective is not maximum renewable percentage in isolation; it is dependable supply with a controllable energy cost and an expansion path.

Engineer the interfaces

Generation is only part of the job. Protection, switchgear, substations, feeders, metering, controls, distribution, redundancy and operating procedures determine whether a plant can actually support the load.

What information is needed to start a power-system assessment?

Start with the site or State/FCT, operating hours, average and peak demand if known, critical loads, present supply, generator or fuel use, reliability problems and the commercial objective. Better interval data improves the first engineering basis.

Does Mergen start with solar, gas or generators?

No. The starting point is the load and service requirement. Technology selection follows the operating duty, site constraints, fuel or grid conditions, reliability target and economics.

Can an existing power plant be hybridised later?

Often yes, provided the electrical architecture, controls, protection and physical interfaces can accept additional generation or storage. The feasibility stage should confirm those interfaces before a hybrid expansion is assumed.
